Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and used by Quaie Ltd, which operates the Quaie research and intelligence publication.
1. Who We Are
Quaie Ltd 128 City Road London EC1V 2NX United Kingdom Email: contact@quaie.io
Quaie Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through the Quaie publication and associated research activities.
2. Data We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
Email address and subscription details. Name, role, and organisation if provided. Survey responses and research contributions. Technical information such as IP address and browser type. Payment-related information processed by Stripe via Substack.
Quaie does not collect special category personal data and does not sell personal data.
3. How We Use Data
Personal data is used to provide access to the publication and manage subscriptions, communicate with subscribers and contributors, produce aggregated and anonymised research and predictive intelligence, improve the quality and relevance of published analysis, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
Survey responses are used only in aggregated and anonymised form in published outputs. Quaie does not publish raw data or respondent-level information.
4. Lawful Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
Quaie processes personal data under the following lawful bases.
Consent: where individuals voluntarily subscribe or contribute to research.
Contractual necessity: to provide paid subscription services.
Legitimate interest: to conduct research, maintain longitudinal datasets, and improve the publication. Legitimate interest is relied upon only where processing is proportionate, low-risk, and does not override the rights or freedoms of contributors, and where data is used in aggregated and anonymised form.
5. Data Sharing
Personal data may be shared with the following service providers who process data on Quaie’s behalf:
Substack (publication platform and subscriber management). Stripe (payment processing). Typeform (survey platform and response collection). Other service providers required to operate the publication securely.
Quaie does not share personal data with advertisers and does not permit third-party marketing use of subscriber or contributor data.
6. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to support the purposes for which it was collected.
Survey response data is processed into aggregated and anonymised form within 30 days of wave close. Individual response data is deleted following aggregation in line with the UK GDPR storage limitation principle and Market Research Society best practice guidelines.
Aggregated and anonymised dataset outputs, from which no individual can be identified, are retained indefinitely as part of the longitudinal research record. This is consistent with the statistical purposes exemption under UK GDPR Article 89.
Email addresses collected through the survey are retained until the contributor withdraws consent or the research programme concludes, whichever is sooner.
Subscriber email addresses and subscription data are retained for the duration of the subscription and for 12 months following cancellation to support reactivation and legal compliance.
Published research outputs contain no personally identifiable information.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, individuals have the right to access personal data held about them, request correction or deletion, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Requests may be made by contacting contact@quaie.io.
